Spur – Indri Tulusan and Fumiko Ichikawa (principals) – Tokyo (JP)

Indri Tulusan and Fumiko Ichikawa are a small specialist team of service innovators and user experience designers. They are based in Tokyo and have worked as innovation consultants for large corporations such as T-Mobile International, Nokia, Hewlett Packard, IDEO and many others.

Indri and Fumiko met while working on global design research projects for Nokia Insight & Innovation in Tokyo.

Indri Tulusan has a background in Medical Science, Design products BA Hons + MA(RCA). At Nokia she was responsible for setting up and conducting exploratory design research in Japan, China, India and Ghana. She also designed and facilitated co-creation processes to successfully inform and inspire design teams, business and `marketing divisions. Previous to moving to Japan she was based in London for 10 years. Here she was the co-founder and creative director of the user research and service design consultancy TEKO. TEKO successfully created future services and products by placing new technologies in the right social contexts.

Fumiko Ichikawa has a background in Human Computers Interaction in Keio University. She works as a innovation consultant with expertise in user experience and design research. Her experience spans across multiple industries from electronics, space design, retails and beverages. Prior to becoming a independent, Fumiko worked for Nokia for nine years as a user experience expert, where she was located in Finland, China, and Japan developing concepts, products, and services for various markets.

Spur offers a wide range of innovation activities, wether working within mobile, health or communication industries the process usually starts from involving the consumer creatively to discover opportunities, then taking these into product and service ideas and strategies.
